The following are all maps that I have made. They are provided for anyone to use for free so long as no alternations are made to the images.

Europe Political 1939 (August)
Notes: 16th March, Bohemia-Morava becomes German protectorate. 22nd March, Germany annexes Memel. 23rd March, Slovakia becomes German protectorate. March, Hungary occupies Ruthenia. 7th April, Italy occupies Albania. 7th July, Hatay becomes a province of Turkey. Europe is shown as it was immediately before the outbreak of the Second World War.

European Union 2004
On the 1st of May 2004 Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia joined the European Union. Due to a failure to reach an agreement on the reunification of Cyprus, only the Southern half of the island was able to join (the North voted yes but the South rejected the reunification deal). All of Cyprus rather than only the Southern half is shown as part of the E.U. on the map because no country except Turkey officially recognises the Turkish republic of Northern Cyprus.
